ServicesWhen you are in the market for tree service your best choice is going to be to call on a professional to do the job. A professional company will ensure that the work done is the most reliable, aesthetically appealing, and longest-lasting. Trees are an asset that can outlive the you and your home, so it's important that anything that gets done with them is done right the first time to avoid mistakes and headaches that can be hard or in some cases impossible to fix.
Professionals are particularly important to work on urban trees, like the ones in our densely populated area. They need special attention and care because they are under stresses that do not exist in a forest environment. The way these stresses act upon a particular tree depends on it variety, it's location, and environmental factors. Is the tree in a place where it gets too much moisture? Not enough? Perhaps the soil's pH, the balance of acids and bases, is not the right mix for optimal growth? Is the tree young or old? Is it getting enough or too much sunlight? Are there pests in the environment that could be a treat to the tree? Is the tree too close to surfaces that impede it's growth and flourishing? There are many symptoms of tree stress that the average person would not notice that a professional would notice, diagnose and rectify, like stunted growth, scorched leaves, cracks, decay, cankers, chlorosis and epicormic sprouts. Those latter two for example are not common terms familiar to non specialists. Chlorosis is a state in which a plant's leaves do not produce enough chlorophyll, the pigment responsible for plant's green color. Chlorosis results in pale white or pale yellow leaves. It is a serious symptom of insufficient nutrients. Epicormic sprouts grow from underneath the bark of a tree. They grow into epicormic shoots that grow from underneath the bark of a tree lower on the tree. They are not necessarily a bad thing but can be. What happens is, when a tree is cut, buds sprout these shoots as an act of regeneration. They can be problematic if they grow into weakly attached branches for example (often the result of shoddy tree work).
